On 7 September 2016，the Business Chinese Test (BCT) International Conference was successfully held at the Confucius Institute for Business London, CIBL. Oxford University professor Fang Jing, Dr. Che Wenbin，the coordinator of the Chinese department in Oxford Brookes, professor Zhang Xinsheng from Richmond University, SOAS senior lecturer Dr. Song Lianyi, Ms Zhang Qian from Hanban UK, CIBL coordinator Dr. Lu Hong, CIBL coordinating Teacher Dr. Jerome Zhang, CIBL Chinese teacher Ms. Li Ping, Ms.Zhang Xiaolin and Ms. Li Chunli attended the conference.
The conference topic was the internationalisation and prospects of the BCT. The participants discussed several important issues，including the analysis of BCT`s market demand and research data，test improvements and development, standardised test management, BCT`s marketing model, and the present feedback from participants of the BCT. The attendants also compared the BCT with BEC and HSK, prospecting its future development direction.
This was the first meeting of a series of International BCT Conferences that will be
held at CIBL in 2016 and was an important first step. We hope the following
conferences will generate further achievements.
