On 21 January, 2015, Professor Yan Guizhi,vice-dean of Continuing Education School, Tsinghua University and her colleagues visited the Confucius Institute for Business London at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The main purpose of their visit was to explore the possibility of raising LSE students’ awareness and interest in the Summer Service and Learning Programme in Rural China, which is run by Tsinghua University.
Mr. Mark Maloney, Head of Academic Partnerships Office, LSE, met the Tsinghua guests and briefed them on the LSE student internship programmes and expressed a willingness to share information about this programme with LSE students as it is meaningful and may be interesting and worthwhile for them. Professor Yan Guizhi said that Tsinghua University has a very positive relationship with the London School of Economics and welcomes LSE students to participate in this programme so that Tsinghua and LSE can contribute together to making a difference to under privileged people and areas in China.
