On 23 January, 2015, Professor Zheng Li, vice-provost of Tsinghua University and his colleagues visited the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Confucius Institute for Business London at LSE. Ms. Hannah Bannister, Head of Students Service Centre, LSE, and her colleagues from the Library, Financial Support Office, Teaching and Learning Center, etc. gave detailed presentations on how LSE successfully runs Orientation for new students and how LSE helps them to adapt to university life and study successfully. Prof. Zheng Li and the delegation appreciated the chance to gain a greater understanding of LSE’s distinctively-featured and efficient Orientation for the fresh students and expressed that they learned a lot from LSE.
The delegation also visited the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL). CIBL China director professor LUO Lisheng and Office Manager Craig Meegan briefed the Tsinghua delegates on the history of CIBL and its business Chinese teaching programmes and the cultural and academic events CIBL currently runs.
