On 20 February 2015, the Chinese New Year cultural experience event at the European headquarters of J.P. Morgan in Canary Wharf was co-hosted by the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL) and J.P. Morgan Asian Development Society. With more than 100 staff participating, the event demonstrated CNY culture of zodiac animals as well as traditional arts including calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting and Chinese knot. Vincent Hakyemez, who works at J.P. Morgan and learns Mandarin at CIBL, joined CIBL team to share with his colleagues his own experience in Mandarin learning and Chinese culture. A series of courses and programmes including Tsinghua Summer Camp and public lectures organised by CIBL also attracted many people who expressed their interest to further understand Chinese culture.
