On 2 April 2015, an LSE delegation led by Prof. Paul Kelly, the vice president of LSE and the director of CIBL Steering Group and Nick Byrne, CIBL UK, visited Tsinghua University. Prof. Xie Weihe, vice president of Tsinghua University met warmly with Professor Kelly and Nick, and exchanged their views on the works as well as the development of the Confucius Institute. Nick Byrne introduced the initial ideas for the celebration of CIBL’s 10th anniversary in 2016 and the plans for holding the 4th CIBL advisory council. Prof. Kelly from LSE expressed his appreciation to Tsinghua University for its support to CIBL, hoping for further cooperation and communication between Tsinghua University and LSE in various fields. Prof. Xie Weihe thanked LSE for its support and help to CIBL over the almost 10 years it has been hosted by LSE and expressed his willingness to continue expanding the cooperation and communication with LSE in a multi-level and multi-field way.
