On October 21, 2015, Chancellor Chen Xu of Tsinghua University council led the Tsinghua delegation visiting the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL). Madam Chen Xu was warmly welcomed to the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) by the CIBL team.
Upon her arrival Madam Chen Xu visited the newly renovated CIBL offices, where CIBL UK Director Nick Byrne and China Director Professor Luo Lisheng briefed her on CIBL’s recent developments. Madam Chen Xu expressed her satisfaction about CIBL’s new working environment and her high regard for CIBL’s achievements. Madam Chen conveyed her great appreciation and thanks to LSE for its continuing support and guidance to CIBL. Furthermore she expressed her desire to further enhance Hanban’s cooperation with the LSE. In return, CIBL UK Director Nick Byrne and Chinese Director Professor Luo Lisheng welcomed Tsinghua delegation’s visit to LSE and thanked Hanban for its consistent support to CIBL while voicing a desire for the cooperation with Tsinghua University to continue to develop in a stable and in-depth manner.
