On 23 October 2015, Prof. Xia Bin successfully gave a lecture about China’s current financial state. Prof. Xia Bin is a senior research fellow, Counsellor of the State Council of China, Honorary Director of Research Institute of Finance (RIF) in the Development Research Centre of the State Council and the Chairman of the National Economics Foundation. This lecture was chaired by Prof. Athar Hussain and more than 40 students from LSE attended. The speaker introduced the financial status of China and discussed its transition to a new economy. Afterwards a reception was held where the attendees were able to discuss the lecture in more depth with Prof. Xia Bin.
