2015 LSE China Forum – China and Britain Financers Annual Conference

On 13 June 2015, along with LSE Student Union, the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL) successfully co-sponsored the 2015 China and Britain Financers Annual Conference as one of the events for the celebration of LSE’s 120th anniversary. With the theme of "Challenges in Financial Sector of China and Mergers & Acquisitions in China", this conference brought together influential Chinese and British financial leaders, entrepreneurs and economists. 

More than 15 distinguished financiers, entrepreneurs and scholars from China and Britain spoke at the one-day conference and exchanged their views at the panel discussions with the participants on the above-mentioned themes. 

LSE professor  Qiwei YAO chaired the morning session and CIBL China director Prof. Lisheng LUO chaired the afternoon session. The conference featured keynote speakers including Mr. Ma Weihua, Chairman of China Entrepreneur Club, and honorary chairman of China Britain Finance Club, Mr. Niu Wenxin, Executive chief editor of CCTV Securities Information Channel CCTV, Mr. Wang Jian, Board chairman of ELI Holding Company, Mr. Evan Bai, deputy CEO of Huawei Cooperation, Mr. Simon Haworth, Founder and Chairman of Dynasty Biotechnology Company, etc. The conference was attended by a large audience of over 200 LSE students, graduates, scholars, academics and interested members of the public.   

The China and Britain Financers Annual Conference was a great success and received very positive feedback from all the participants. It has provided a  platform for discussions on the Chinese and British financial sectors.
