On 8 May 2015, the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL) successfully ran am away-day at the Oxford University Chinese Centre. Dr. Kent Deng, associate director of CIBL, was invited to give a special lecture and he gave the CIBL team a fascinating description and interpretation of the "Chinese-model and Chinese-application", "Western-model but Chinese-application", "Russian-model and Russian-learning for Use" and "Western-model and Western-learning for Use". Dr. Fang Jing, CIBL external examiner, also gave a briefing on the construction of the Chinese Centre at Oxford University and explained its teaching and research. After these talks the entire CIBL team visited the University of Oxford and it surrounding areas to experience the local culture and history.
All the CIBL team members felt that this was a great experience, and they benefited a lot from this useful way method of self-improvement and the chance for a nice break after an intensive work period.
