CIBL held a five day intensive training programme for 9 HSBC managers from 25 June -30 June 2013. This is the first time we have ever tried a group immersion business programme in London . Students learnt Chinese through intensive and highly structured learning such as classroom activities, 1-2-1 support, role play and mock markets. Although the week was very demanding, students found it a productive, fun, enjoyable and memorable week. It is our hope to run more immersion programmes for London Businesses in the future.
Summary of feedback
7 students filled in the course evaluation form. Five of them have written to us asking for further learning opportunities such as 1-2-1 sessions or to participate in group classes. All the students who reviewed the course marked it as “excellent” for the overall course. Every student has achieved their personal goals of the course. Only one student rated '4' for the overall performance of the teachers; the rest all rated full mark '5'. However, it is important that we do not rest on our laurels and we have taken careful consideration of the written feedback of the course with the hope that we can improve our course even more in the future.
