CIBL's Student Achieving Second Prize in First Jiangsu Cup

On the 17th of November 2013, Lukas VON RANTZAU, a student from Confucius Institute for Business London participated in the first Jiangsu Cup Chinese Speech Competition and won the second prize. This competition is jointly held by Jiangsu International Culture Exchange Centre, Overseas College of Nanjing University and the Confucius Institute at University of Sheffield. After a heated eliminations before, the final competition started on the 17th of November 2013 in the Arts Tower, University of Sheffield.

The contestants for the Jiangsu Cup came from University of Oxford, University of Manchester, University of Leeds, South Bank University, University of Sheffield, etc. The whole competition had three levels: the adult advanced, the adult intermediate and the young learner. At each level, a contestant was expected to make a three-minute speech and had two minutes for answering questions. CIBL’s student, Lukas VON RANTZAU, was placed into the adult intermediate group. Due to his outstanding performance, he won the second prize in the First Jiangsu Cup. (By Min RUI)
