 “Demystifying the Chinese Economy” speech by Professor Justin Lin

Professor Justin Yifu Lin, the former World Bank chief economist and senior vice president, development economics, gave a lecture titled Demystifying the Chinese Economy on the 18th December at the Old Theatre of London School of Economics.

2012 'Chinese Bridge'  Competition

This year's "Chinese Bridge" was held in the British Museum on March 17, 2012, an annual event for Chinese Proficiency Competition for Tertiary Students in the UK as part of the global competition organized by the Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters).

On 18th February 2012, "China's Reform Phase II"— the China Development Forum was successfully held in Sheikh Zayed Theatre, LSE. The forum was co-sponsored by Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL), LSE and LSE China Development Society.

Together 2012 Brighton

  The 12th Chinese New Year celebration in Brighton & Hove was held on 22nd, January 2012. The event was co-organized by CIBL (Confucius Institute for Business London) and CEDP Chinese Centre. More than 2,000 people participated in this event.

Chinese New Year Celebration Reception in the Parliament

On 23rd January, 2012, the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL) of the London School of Economics (LSE) and The Lord Wei of Shoreditch, who is a student of CIBL, co-hosted the Chinese New Year Celebration Reception at the Parliament. This reception is the first Chinese cultural event that CIBL held in the House of Lords.

Chinese New Year Workshop------Dulwich College 

On 23rd January, 2012, a Chinese New Year Workshop was held at Dulwich College by Confucius Institute for Business London(CIBL).
  
There were three sessions during the day, involving students from years 7, 8 and 9. Under the theme of "Chinese New year", New Year greetings, New Year song, and Chinese Kong Fu were taught during the workshops.
