In February, 2012, Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL) and CRCC Asia, a company specialising in connecting the global community and China through China Internships, welcomed people for a wine reception at CIBL.
A wide range of guests attended the reception. The majority of them had experiences of living in China for a short period of time. They showed great interest in understanding China further, especially its business culture. Staff at CIBL gave a short presentation on the importance of knowing Chinese business etiquette and the Chinese language in the reception. In addition, as a professional business Chinese training institute, CIBL showed its passion for designing well-tailored intensive language and cultural courses for people who planned to visit China in the future. "Our courses aim to minimize the culture shock of people who plan to go to China and optimize their experiences after arriving in China" said Chen Shu, a member of staff working at CIBL.
The reception lasted for two hours, which provided the guests with a great opportunity to share information about living and doing business in China. CIBL will hold more activities like this in the future.
