The third London Business Chinese Teacher Training Course was sucessfully held from 14 to 16 September 2012. Mr. Feng Zhi (Chinese Embassy Education Department) and Mr. Tongdu Chen (UK director of Hanban) , Dr. Gang Deng (Associated Director of Confucius Institute for Business London), and Dr.Hong Lu ( The Executive Director of Confucius Institute for Business London) attended this event .
Around 100 candidates from UK, Europe and America applied for the course and eventually 40 were successfully enrolled. This course consisted of three parts: Guided Research, Intensive Training and an Online Learning Forum. Trainees were required to do some homework and research regarding Business Chinese teaching, in order to fully prepare for the intensive training course. During the 3 days training, they received advice from a range of prominent scholars who teach at Oxford University, University of London and London School of Economics, including lectures and a Q & A session. The 3 days were very intensive, practical and academic, which was appreciated both by trainees and trainers.
After the training, all the trainees were invited to join an online learning forum for further discussion and to share teaching experience. Combined with events, lectures, updated teaching materials, they will benefit from this long-term ongoing support.
This training course was jointly organized by Confucius Institute for Business London(CIBL), Tsinghua University and HanBan (Confucius Institute). Since it was firstly held at 2010, it received positive feedback and wide attention.
