On 19th April, a lecture titled “Business, Language and Culture” was delivered by prominent linguist, Professor Xu Jialu in London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
During the lecture, prof. Xu introduced the origin and development of Chinese business culture and its interactions with Chinese linguistics. The lecture was warmly welcomed in LSE. The theatre was filled with linguists, students of LSE and also businessmen from the City.
Before the lecture, Professor Xu, accompanied by the Vice President of LSE, Professor George Gaskell visited the Confucius Institute for Business London (CIBL). He talked with the students and teachers of CIBL and encouraged them to continue in their achievements.
Prof.Xu is also the former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in China and the President of The International Society for Chinese Language Teaching.
