ShuYi's visit to the UK
Chinese writer ShuYi paid a visit to LSE on 23rd May 2011. He gave an impressive lecture about his father, the famous Chinese play-writer and novelist LaoShe's early years in London. More than 40 teachers and students from London universities came to this event.
Mr. ShuYi visited Confucius Institute for Business London, LSE, and told that LaoShe was working as a Chinese language teacher at his early years in London and could be regarded as the predecessor of TCSL (Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language). Mr ShuYi encouraged teachers at Confucius Institute for Business London to further develop TCSL in the UK.
