Confucius institute for Business London (CIBL) hosted the Dragon Boat Festival Reception at LSE on the Chinese Traditional Dragon Boat Festival, 6th June, 2011. More than 60 guests attended this event, including represents from London businesses, students of CIBL and LSE scholars.
Miss Bianca Williams introduced the tale and traditions of Dragon Boat festival to the guests. All guests have tried Zongzi (rice dumplings), the traditional food of Dragon Boat Festival. The most popular programme on the reception was making Zongzi, when Mrs. He, a CIBL teacher's mother, showed the guests how to make Zongzi and many guests made their own Zongzi, and some of them even copied the recipe.
This event gave the CIBL guests an interesting experience of traditional Chinese festival and could help them learning more about China. (Boshuo Guo CIBL
