China Skills Recuitment and Networking Event

Mayer Brown 01

China Skills Recruitment & Networking Event at Mayer Brown

On 29th June 2011, the 'China Skills Recruitment & Networking Event' was held at Mayer Brown.

LSE Confucius Institute for Business London hosted the job fair in collaboration with the Chopsticks Club London. It was kindly sponsored by Shell plc and Mayer Brown International LLP. Throughout the evening the event attracted over 190 participants.

This recruitment event was aimed towards highly qualified graduates - both Chinese and non-Chinese passport holders - in Central London. The exhibition served to provide an opportunity for Chinese and British businesses to source the most capable prospective employees with China-related skills. Such prestigious companies represented at the jobs exhibition included: HSBC, China-Britain Business Council, Michael Page International, Linklater, Ralph Lauren, Crowe Clark Whitehall and the ChinaDaily newspaper.

Amongst the highlights were the educational workshops for senior HR and business development executives, while other workshops educated job seekers as to how to increase their chances of employment with China related industries.

As one of the hosts, Confucius Institute for Business London operated an exhibition stand to highlight the importance of Chinese business language and culture training for the job seekers, and to put on display the training and services we provide. There was considerable interest in CIBL's exhibition stand from those in attendance and many inquired as to the most efficient way to learn Chinese.
