Two Chinese Government Scholarships have been allocated to LSE for the academic year 2013/2014. The scholarship will provide a mind-opening experience for students to undertake studies or research in Chinese higher education institutions. It aims to promote culture and language acquisitions through practical immersion. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture as well as prepare themselves in an increasingly global economy where Mandarin is gaining in importance.
The program supports students who come to study in China on undergraduate and postgraduate programs, Chinese language training programs, general scholar and senior scholar programs. Each scholarship we provide covers registration, tuition, comprehensive medical insurance and accommodation. The international airfares have to be borne by the scholarship holders.
Applicants shall apply for the scholarship through dispatching authorities, institutions or the Chinese diplomatic missions.
